1987, i was 17, fell for guy. After few months, broke up cuz he wanted someone else. 2 years later, me again cuz i still loved him. 3 years later, someone else, a year later, me again-faithful til the end. Back & forth like this for quite a few years, marriage, children, lives..no matter. 2008 he left me for my sister, my best friend, my only confidant. It lasted only a few mo. with her, but put me in a severely depressed state for years. Now, i'm off the "merry-go-round" and it's 2012. Last time i went into a mental hospital to learn to grieve the lost time, lost love, lost respect, loss of a hero, loss of alot of years i could have been happy.I heard this song and was literally floored. It meant there really was someone out there who could identify with me, and I could get my happy back; my SELF and self worth.Thanks for being you, Christina, and thanks for this song.
