lovestrong is the one word i use to describe this record + these songs + my heart. it is what i strive to be. it is what i wish for you.
in a magical instant boom, me + my little love songs existed. i got swept up into a brand new world. everything was unbelievable. everything was scary. everything was more amazing + exciting then i ever dreamed. everything started to make sense.
since that first night, and every night since, you’ve emailed me your stories of strength. that night you started feeling better. that night you opened your heart to my experience + hope + songs. i never knew why i went through such ups + downs with love, and then you told me. you helped me understand. and now i have an album for you.
when it came time to pick the songs… i reached into my arsenal + picked my favorites. the ones that i need you to hear. the ones i need to give away. the ones i need to get through. i sat back + listened to every note. every intention. every story. every battle wound. every melody. + every word. i found two common themes. love + strength.
every broken piece of me fits together perfectly on this album + makes my heart whole again.
because of these songs. because of your emails + letters + comments + stories every time i sing these songs a stitch gets stitched… a beat comes back… and a break gets its worth. i hope + wish the same for every heart who hears lovestrong.

Thanks Christina for Lovestrong! I look for songs that slay me and Arms has done just that. With my birthday being May 10th it seems as though you completed this just for me. I'm sure many others feel the same way. ;)
Thank you for your music. It has come at a perfect time for me in my life. I always liked Jar of Hearts, then found out my husband was involving himself romantically with another woman. I loved the POWER of that song. We are working things out, and I love ARMS for that reason. I'm running away from him, but also love him so much. And Penguin is sweet. All the songs in Lovestrong speak volumes. I can feel how much you put into those songs. Thank you for your heart and soul in your music. We do need to hear these songs!
